CELEBRATION AT PCCC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DRESSED in spanking new traditional clothes, 13 children from Peace Children Care Centre were all smiles and laughter as they played with fireworks during their Deepavali celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event also saw the children enjoying a sumptuous dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was followed by some songs and dances put up by the children for centre staff members, caretakers and board members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, the board members also entertained the children with a traditional dance performance.<br><br>PCCC chairman Mr. Alagesan Ayaru said that due to the conditional movement control order (CMCO), they decided to hold a rather low-key celebration for the children this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt the same time, we wanted them to enjoy the true meaning of the festival and have new clothes and good food to mark the auspicious day, \u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the event ended, the children were each presented with angpow packets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Present at the celebration were PCCC vice chairman Mr. Nick Ng Shu Lin, treasurer Ms. Yeam Chiew Na and board members Ms. Wendy Koay and Mr. Sailesh Maganlal
